Mamerki about 10km, is the former headquarters of the German army.

Sztynort 10km has a nice marina where you can rent sailboats. The village also houses a castle which unfortunately is falling apart. During the summer, concerts are held every evening near the port.

Ketrzyn is a big city where you find all kinds of shops. There is a castle of the Teutonic Knights that you can visit. The panorama from the top of the basilica św Jerzego is remarkable.

In Wegorzewo, which is another big city, you will find a marina, many shops and at least two museums.

The first weekend of August takes place Jarmark, a traditional market where you find artisans from Poland Litunanie, Belarus ... During 3 days, you can attend a festival of traditional dances.

In Gizycko, you can visit the Fort Boyen, fortification built in the time of Eastern Prussia. You can also take a ride on one of the boats that make a tour of the lake and connects Wegorzewo.

During the summer, you can attend a concert in the evening on the harbor.

In Święta Lipka (32 Km), you can see and visit the famous sanctuary of the Virgin Mary. Few km further, you arrive to Reszel where you can visit the city, the caste and the church.

And if you want to make sports, you can simply take a bike towards Pilwa and enjoy the beauty of nature and lakes. Certainly, you will cross some storks and even deer and herons.

In the region, many attractions are available.

The closest is about 10 Km : Gierłoż, Hitler's headquarters, called the "Wolf's Lair". There is a Touristic road among the ruins of bunkers, buildings of all kinds and other fortifications. Guided tours are available in several languages.
