Warmia and Masuria
The Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship with its capital Allenstein/Olsztyn is situated in the northeast of Poland.
With a size of 24173.47 km² it's Poland's fourth largest region. This sparsely inhabitated territory (approx. 1.4 million inhabitants)
is predestined to relax and to recharge your batteries in a spectacular natural surrounding.
Besides the diverse morainic landscape and the numerous woods more than 3000 lakes (originating from the ice age) named this region. It's a paradise for
sailing, canoeing, fishing and swimming. Numerous of these lakes are connected through navigable channels and so they are very attractive for
aficionados of the aquatic sports but this unique water system also offers a lot of possibilities for photography, hiking, horse-riding and cycling.
You will find Poland's largest lakes nearby - lake Sniardwy with approx. 114 km² and lake Mamry with approx. 105 km².
